Shoot Ready Checklist
To help your listing look its best and keep the shoot smooth, please review this quick guide beforehand:
General Prep
Be fully staged and ready before the shoot (ideally the day before)
Large items and decor should already be in place
Pets must be secured or off-site
Hide pet bowls, toys, and litter boxes
All people should stay out of view during the shoot (reflections and shadows can show up)
Garages usually aren’t photographed—use them to store any extra items
Outside
Remove all cars from driveway and front of home
Hide trash bins and hoses
Yard should be trimmed if possible
Turn off sprinklers and pick up any pet waste
Remove pool/spa covers; clean if possible
Turn on fountains or water features if applicable
Clean windows—clear glass helps show outdoor views
Inside
Turn on all interior lights
Turn off all ceiling fans
Declutter: Hide dishes, toiletries, remotes, cords, fans, trash bins, and personal items
Beds made, counters clear, floors tidy
Open blinds—natural light is key, and clean windows give better outdoor visibility
Clear entryways of shoes and personal items
Twilight Shoots
Turn on all interior and exterior lights and tilt blinds open or fully pull them open
Turn on spa, pool, and any outdoor water features
Remove covers from pool/spa
